Businesses will be rewarded for delivering success through pioneering and original supply chain techniques.
The judges will be looking for examples where solution providers have demonstrated excellence and innovation in addressing a significant supply chain challenge; the results of which can be quantified and proved to be sustainable in terms of cost savings, revenue and customer satisfaction. Aspects of clearly defined service standards and suitable remedies, as well as the ability to provide bespoke solutions for unique challenges outside the traditional domain of complexities will be expected.

With a focus on shared problem-solving using a new process or technique, this award celebrates a true partnership, especially at the relationship-trust level. Both sides must have gone beyond the terms of their contract to help and support each other; sharing risk and reward, as well as each other's resources to produce substantive results with commercial potential/application.

This will include compliance with regulations, minimising waste from the supply chain process as well as the overall adoption of green practices across the supply chain. Entrants will need to illustrate success in cutting their carbon footprint, in turn presenting how they have transformed the green agenda into a business opportunity to drive profitability and deliver value. Additional value will be placed on efforts to roll out the sustainability initiative on a global basis across multiple plants.
